They acquired former Cy Young and playoff dominant pitcher, Cliff Lee.
This trade could definitely propel the Mariners into the playoffs, and if they get there, look for Lee to be just as dominant as this year.Felix Hernandez is one of many of the top young arms in baseball But, other than Tim Lincecum, he is probably the best. Hernandez proved last year that he was able to control his dominant stuff for an entire season. He will look to improve on last year and possibly make a run at the playoffs..
